Director

Richard started his career in the financial markets in 1993 with Tullett and Tokyo (Futures and Options) in the City of London. He then spent five years as an institutional broker in various derivative products on LIFFE at management level and in 2001 founded FSA authorised Agincourt Financial (then called Cunningham Asset Management). He has appeared regularly as a financial market analyst on business TV including Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, Sky News and BBC News 24. Over many years Richard has evolved a keen interest in technical analysis and systemised trading and achieved second place in CNBC’s Portfolio Management Competition. He is also featured in Geoff Cutmore’s book, ‘New Market Mavericks’ (Wiley Publishing’).

Douglas conducted Financial studies in London, he has experience in financial management having worked with private banking and wealth management services at ABN Amro Luxembourg where he worked with both retail and institutional clients. He garnered further experience in the UK retail market by administrating personal pensions in London. Through his work in the financial industry as well as the knowledge gained through his studies in finance at university he has a strong grasp of understanding on an operational level of retail and corporate financial services maintaining retail client relationships as well as a large understanding of the investment management through being involved in the process through out his roles. Douglas joined Mercantile Circle at its inception and has been instrumental in the initial role of working with the founders of the company to establish operating procedures and IT infrastructure. He has since been involved in all areas of the business and has played in key role in working with partners, wrapper and product providers to provide new investment routes for our clients and assets for the company to manage. On a day to day basis Douglas overseas all retail procedures and works to establish new assets for the group
